Our team of industry leaders
Johan Bjorklund
Chief Executive Officer
Johan is a senior executive leader combining rich telecommunications industry experience with a strategic and operational focus on building and growing the business. Having previously held a number of leadership roles in his 18 years at Ericsson, Johan has gained broad international market expertise leading business success in the US, APAC, and EMEA with a record of creating profitable business models in emerging business segments. His broad functional background includes executive P&L management, business development, mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, customer service, vendor management, and integration and business optimizations. Johan took the helm of Betacom as Chief Executive Officer in September of 2019.
Bruce Morrison
Chief Operating Officer
Bruce Morrison started his career as a US Army officer and entered the communications industry with The Alaris Group as a principal in 2000. Alaris focused on site development and construction of wireless communications facilities before its sale to Parsons Corporation in 2005. Bruce remained with Parsons as a VP in their Commercial Technology Group until joining WesTower Communications in 2008. He joined Ericsson North America as Head of Network Build in 2013 with financial responsibility in excess of $1.5B US and later assumed the role of VP Radio Access Networks supporting Ericsson’s $1.3B US T-Mobile Customer Unit. Bruce joined Betacom as its President & Chief Operating Officer in September 2019. He has a Bachelor degree from the University of Washington and was a Distinguished Military Graduate.
Ray Zeldenthuis
Executive Vice President,
Construction Operations
Ray Zeldenthuis has over 30 years of experience in the wireless communications and construction industry. He started his career in the field, building communication towers and infrastructure when he joined WesTower Communications in 1997. In January 2003, he became one of eight WesTower executives to purchase WesTower Communications from Spectrasite Holdings. Ray held several Senior executive positions at WesTower. His invaluable leadership and experience in wireless infrastructure led Ray to join Bruce and Johan as the Executive Vice President at Betacom in August of 2019 to start a new chapter.
Brian Watkins
Executive Vice President,
Sales & Business Development, 5GaaS
Brian has been in sales & business development leadership roles with a history of high achievement in the wireless and wireless cloud telecommunications industry for over 25 years. He has successfully developed and led national sales teams in both direct and channel-driven organizations, previously leading teams at Wireless Facilities Inc., Smith Micro Software, Ericsson, Intel, Samsung, and Federated Wireless. At the latter, he was responsible for the creation of new sales programs in support of the newly created turnkey private wireless business unit leveraging CBRS shared spectrum. He also pioneered new channel sales models with Microsoft and AWS as well as direct sales campaigns. Brian currently leads the sales, marketing and business development efforts for Betacom’s 5G private wireless solutions under the 5GaaS program. He also oversees new product development for emerging markets and verticals.
Sherilyn Anderson
Chief Financial Officer
Sherilyn Anderson is a senior financial executive with extensive experience in driving growth, change, and improved financing performance for both mid-size and Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, she was the CFO of glassybaby, where she led a cultural shift from a focus on revenue, to profitability balanced with sustainability. Sherilyn earned a B.S. in industrial engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a member of the Board, as well as the audit and compensation committees, of First Federal and First Northwest Bancorp, and a member of the Board, executive committee and finance committee chair of the Pacific Science Center. She is the Chief Financial Officer of Betacom and an irreplaceable member of the leadership team.
Venkat Ramachandran
Chief Technology Officer,
Development for 5GaaS
Venkat Ramachandran offers over 25 years of global technical and executive management experience in business, technology, and organization transformation. He holds a graduate degree in Physics with specialization in Electronics. Venkat is a strategic, customer-focused leader, value creator and expert in most aspects of technology, having previously lent his expertise in technical roles at T-Mobile and Ericsson. Armed with an entrepreneurial acumen and knowledge in the telecommunications and wireless industry, Venkat specializes in continuous process improvements, innovation, network engineering, profit growth, and strategy development and implementation for the world’s most innovative organizations. His knack for strategic business planning and analytics, paired with his expertise in wireless development and rapid deployments, led him to join the leadership team at Betacom as Chief Technology Officer and Development Lead for our 5GaaS solution.
